About Me

Hello!  Thank you for visiting my website!

My name is Susan Hegazi, and I am looking forward to putting you on the right track to a healthy and positive lifestyle that is most suitable for you!

​

I chose the name Swap Healthy, as it describes one of the popular services that I initially started offering. First, I let my clients choose what they prefer to eat - then I swap them for healthier alternatives until we can gradually eliminate what is unnecessary and then introduce what their body needs based on their condition/concern. This method will help my clients incorporate healthier nutrition into their lifestyle, which is more sustainable in the long term.

I work with a highly skilled team, which includes a Biochemist tasked with researching and verifying the scientific data supporting my nutrition plan.

​

My approach takes things a step at a time and aims to find the right balance for my clients at a pace that suits them. I specialise in developing nutritional consultation plans for my clients focusing on various aspects tailored to their individual needs. I do this using a functional medicinal approach - alongside food and supplements.  I am a strong believer that a one size fits all approach does not work and all client's needs must be met individually.

My nutrition journey started when I began suffering from auto-immune disorders like; psoriasis, eczema, acne, Methane Dominant SIBO and a weak immune system made me more susceptible to a number of illnesses. I also developed a number of food intolerances leading me to re-evaluate the health of my gut microbiome.

​

   I was low in energy with constant fatigue. After being misdiagnosed several times, I decided to start this journey for myself and my intention is to use what I have learned over the years to help others.

​

I am a health and nutritional professional with 5 years of experience in the field and I am dedicated to improving public awareness when it comes to healthy eating and taking care of physical and mental health (after all there is strong link between the gut and the brain!).

​

I graduated in 2007, with a degree in Mass Communications (Advertising and Public relations). I decided to pursue a career in finance working in NY, the Middle East and eventually in London with 2 years as a trader and 7 years within compliance.

​

My Approach

Achieving a healthy lifestyle does not have to be difficult.

​

My approach is to take things a step at a time and gradually eliminate any unnecessary foods from your diet and finding the right balance for your nutritional intake using various approaches alongside your diet. A healthy lifestyle follows a specific plan which shouldn't involve depriving yourself.

​

Human nature has proven that small incremental improvements in your eating, lifestyle and activity habits over the weeks and months to come, is more likely to lead to far greater success than a stricter program.

​

Balancing of the doshas and chakras forms an important part of this plan.

Health Coaching Plan

 I provide guidance and motivation to clients who lack determination and willpower to achieve their specific goals and desires. Ideal for clients who are struggling to improve their lifestyles. For example, my introductory level plan, which is called Swap Healthy. This is where I let you choose what you prefer to eat - then I swap it all for healthier options that are suited to fit your current condition/goals (taking into consideration all disorders). Then I gradually eliminate the unnecessary and add the necessary. This turns healthy eating into a lifestyle habit not a chore.

Please note that where applicable, I will always be acting under the clinical lead of a suitable medical practitioner when providing agreed dietary management services for those with diagnosed medical conditions.
